i might have an extra scissors jack in the garage.
will a small hydraulic pomp work? have a 2ton bottle jack. |
Another option is cut the seat rails out and bolt the seat of your choice directly to the floor on side mounts. It is done all the time.

Hey guys thanks for all the tips. I just need to widen the bottom bolsters a little to accomodate my girlish hips.
Off topic, sort of...these attorneys that can make my ticket "go away"....what do they typically charge? Also, if anyone knows of one of these attorneys in the Wenatchee area please PM me their contact info. It seems travel time costs a lot. |
Darn good thing I missed this run because I decided to ride with my miscreant motorcycle club instead. You bunch of scofflaws would've gotten me in trouble...
We were pretty heavily "scrutinized" by a Stater ourselves. One caught up to the back of the pack as we were whistling down I-5 at just a click over 85 (south of Tacoma - 60mph zone). He passed the whole pack and caught up to me in the lead and then - get this - shook his finger at me (no, not like that - like our moms used to do). Never pulled us over. I can't believe they are letting leather-clad bikers go and pulling over such all-American boys in their Porsches. Must be a bad crowd... Anyway, Blewett Pass has always been fairly heavily patroled. They typically show no mercy there either. Sorry to see they got you, Mark. Still up for those afterwork drives? We've only been stopped once... |
Oh yeah Jeff, I'm still up for some after work driving...you guys do have V-1's, right?
Can't believe your group didn't get pulled over. That Stater must know where the HOG's lye in the 1%er's pecking order :) |
V-1's? What are those? We rely entirely on stealth and blind-ass luck. Especially as I quietly sneak around those backroads...
Oh, and I suppose it might help to have our "sweep" (the guy bringing up the rear on a motorcycle ride) on a Police Special Edition Electra-Glide. First guy the cop sees is another cop on a bike with a very distinctive special edition paint job and a license plate that says "bacon". Can anyone say "profesional courtesy"? |
