Quarter windows trim question.

I'm changing from pop out quarters to a fixed window on a 1977 that will be street/ track car. On the pop outs there is a trim piece under the window. Is it necessary to have this piece if you install fixed windows?

You will need a different trim piece that does not go over the bottom of the window opening. Its interesting that you are going from pop-out to fixed... You don't like ventilation?

Eventually I'm going to plexi. In Miami ventilation is a waste of time. I'm leaving the A/C in for now. So the trim is different. I'll go find a 964 and look. Can you describe the difference?

Are you interested in selling the popouts?

I went the other way with my car and in our climate it was a major upgrade.

The trim is essentially the same except it only goes up to the window opening not up over the bottom. The fixed quarters have a rubber gasket all the way round that is roped in over the window opening. Pretty hard to get in or out. Don't modify the trim you have now, there are many out there that would like to go to popouts.

Garage
I have a complete set of pop outs with glass and all the trim in decent shape that I decided not to use on my car. $300 plus the shipping.
