I have 75mm's on my SC and I like the look and sound. I think the 100mm's look a little to big.

Steve,

Here's a shot of the Monty muffler with 75mm outlets on my '69 after I just installed the new engine.

Ive been toying with the idea of 4" dual out but think that it would be a bit much. I think I will just have the 4" single out.

Does anyone have 4" dual out? What do they look like?

What type of price were you quoted for the 75mm dual out?

The price for a 75 mm dual in single out was AU$800. Didn't get a price on the dual out. The 100 mm dual in dual out was AU$950.

Hi,

My single in single out is the 4 inch version -but not by my own choice. Looks a little "rice" or "bling". Kinda like a bake bean tin.....On looks I'd stay with the 3 inch.

Thanks everybody for your inputs, I was quoted $956 AU for the dual in dual out 100mm (4in) , I also remember now getting a quote 4 months ago on the 75mm (3in) dual in/out and it was around $1,120 AU I think!, not sure why this is, might call Monty tomorrow and ask! ... I like the look of rods car with the dual 3in......the 83mm dansk has would be a nice compromise but I want a Monty

I have a dual out 4" monty on my modded turbo. It looks mean on my car but, I believe it would be a bit much without the turbo flares and wide rear end.

Good choice! I picked up a used single out with the 100mm tip and think it is too big! But, it sounds great regardless

on a personal note. The 75's look and sound clean on a stock CIS or Motronic camshaft. The 100's would be doable with a camshaft & compression ratio that has some personality.

Todd,

Mine is the same and my ding in the bumper is in about the same place only bigger....so my pipe end is flattened slightly where it contacted the driveway too....:-)

Looks too big but sounds great.

i have 2x75.

the Monty tubes are long enough to cleanly dump fumes, but exit angle just doesn't hit me right. Like maybe it could/should look more factory?

Steve

Post some pics when you get it installed and let us know what it sounds like. After this debate I am considering the dual 75mm out pre 74 muffler as well.

I am interested to know how you modify the rear valance on the right hand side to accommodate the pipe.

Hey, I think Ben MB911 has just released his single in single out. This could be a real alternative?
