You can buy comercial viynl tile in any color you want for .60 a foot from a home depot type store it's bullet proof ! I just did my garage floor cleans up great and only cost me $400.00 for tile and glue. Best part is if one gets damaged a heat gun loosens them right up and you can replace the bad tile.

Did you look into an epoxy coating? That is what I am going to do in my shop.

Mine are 2x2 - looks great also.

I went with white (kinda) and grey VCT tiles, in an attempt to keep it as bright as possible under the car, but retain the checkered look. It WILL dent, and burn and stain..oh well ;), but it easy to swap out. There is no better bang for the buck! It is VERY reasonable, and easy to apply with little prep required.

I've done the painting, and the epoxy coatings, but they burn from weld splatter and scratch as well, and if the concrete is old, they plain just won't stick without big time prep. And even then....

The VCT is great, but if you use the car in wet or snowy climates, throw down a bit ofself stick non slip stuff to avoid landing in the family room!

Oh...one more thing...using the 12" tiles makes a great scale on the floor to use for all sorts of measuring projects..

My garage with white tile.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1118979978.jpg

The epoxy's I have used have never burned from welding splatter. I have used a professional installer for them tho. Not the do it yourself kind.
