Do 79 & earlier CIS fuel pumps work in an 82 SC?
I've got an 82 Sc an I believe the fuel pump is failing. The car cuts out over 3,000 rpm and the fuse block for the fuel pump is blistering hot.
Will a 79 or earlier pump work on a post 1980 model, or do I need to buy a 1980 - 1983 fuel pump? Regards, Jerry Kroeger

Pelican lists different part numbers between 77-79 and 80-83. http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/911M/POR_911M_fuelCI_pg2.htm#item7

Does anyone have any experience here? Are the fittings or electrical connections different? Is the flow rate or pressure different?
Thanks, Jerry
