Ouch, this stung.. (but a long time coming)

So after owning my targa since 97 and not doing a single costly upgrade.. I have finally dropped the hammer.

911 Turbo Tie Rod Kit 911/912/912E (1969-89), 914 All
Bump Steer kit 911/912 (1965-73) 914 (1970-72)
--
911Chips Performance Chip, sport/premuffler exhaust, 911 (1987-89)
Fabspeed 911 3.2 Carrera Muffler Bypass Pipe
Fabspeed 911 Euro-Premuffler Catbypass Pipe
--
22.5mm Front Hollow Torsion Bar (22mm eff rate), 911/912/911 Turbo (1965-89)
29.4mm Rear Hollow Torsion Bar (28mm eff rate), 911/912/911 Turbo (1965-87)
4 x Bilstein Sports Shocks PORSCHE 911 85 - 89
--
Front A-arm Bushing Kit (4 total), 911/911 Turbo/912/912E (1968-89), 914 All
Rear Spring Plate Bushing, Inner 911/911 Turbo/912 (1969-76), Outer 911/911 Turbo/912 (1965-89)
Rear Spring Plate Inner Bushing (sold per each, 2 required per car), 911/911 Turbo (mid 1976-89)
Rear Trailing/Banana Arm Inner Suspension Bushing Kit (set of four), 911/911 Turbo/912/912E (1965-89)
--

I'm still unsure about the Weltmeister bushings, but I know that the originals need to be replaced.. I decided to go the cheap and squeaky first.. then monoballs if I hated it. I know I left out the top-plate.. I'm still thinking about that one..

Eventually, the car will be set up for ASP autocross.

There should be some fun/dirty weekends ahead of me for a bit! wish me luck.

Good luck, sounds like some great upgrades. Post some pics and I bet it will handle like a champ after all of that.

here it was a year or so ago at an event. Despite MULTIPLE spins.. I still beat that red Camaro in front of me.

y'know.. I have driven that car in anger for so many years, I never spun it til I got on the slaloms.. It was quite an eyeopener. Spins non-withstanding, it sure was nice to auto-x a car that wasn't lacking in power.
With the new parts, I'll have to learn to drive her all over again.
That's ok, "a sharper knife is a safer knife.."
