Is there a HORN fuse/relay?
I recently removed my 930S steering wheel and had a bear of a time replacing it when I inadvertantly completely disassembled the horn plates, etc...
Now, it is back together, but my horn won't honk. Even when I touch the two spades together - nothing. A quick look at the fuse block doesn't reveal a horn fuse. Is there a relay I am missing (not seeing)? |
OK, I found the relay. I swapped it with the FOG LAMP relay (appears to be the same) and still no horn.
Ideas? |
Third update...
It is a contact issue with the horn installation. The horn honks when I push in the top of the steering wheel. Awrg. Now, the steering wheel is coming off.... |
It works now.
The copper contact wasn't making contact with the copper ring on the back of the steering wheel. I cleaned it, and gently bent some more "spring" into it. Reassembled and everything works. Thanks for listening everyone! |
Where is the hor fuse or relay? I need to change my wheel and want to disale the horn first.
Thanks Kirk |
