Not the Altn.bearings / tensioners or Dist. shaft
I had hoped for bearing wear, but
/ engine running about 200 rpm less than normal.Loud high pitch noise during idle last night, nothing if you increase RPM . Nothing this morning.Stetho-scope indicates noise not in Shroud area . Lots of noise coming from Dist. area / which is also quite warm to touch.Checked inside Dist. cap,wearing even , one of the spark-plug wires is broken near the cap.New wires on order would this cause the Dist. to get hot and noise, I know just little further down "Tensioners " I have the upgrade, and a few years back 1 brown and the black rails and L sprocket were replaced. thank's Rika |

Okay folks, the noise is coming from the Dist. / Chain tension areas all sound the same and quiet.How much play is okay in the Dist. shaft area, it wiggles ?
