I have a 79 SC with the trombone oil cooler.
My car is over heating when driven hard on the track in hot weather(DE, lapping). A friend can sale me a Carrera 2 (964) oil radiator for cheap. Can someone tell me if this radiator can easily be retrofited in my car?

No, it can't. You need to do some serious surgery to make it fit.
Get a carrera style cooler, made to fit, and save yourself a LOT of trouble.
