Anyone have Fabspeed muffler bypasses on their SC?
Just wondering how loud these are. I guess I'd need two, since I run SSI's. My B&B dual in/out is already super loud, so I wonder how much louder the FS bypasses would be.

I am currently running a muffler bypass pipe that does away with the muffler altogether!! :) AWESOME! I have a c3.0 with a 3.2 84 engine.

At 4,000rpm climbing to 5,500 the car is amazing. Just reminds you of being at LeMans. :) This muffler system is quite loud though. My car failed the Mot or yearly gov test due to exessive noise. The kit I bought comes with a tail pipe turn down which is intended to make the sound quieter for track days. The sales blurb says that it reduces the sound to under 100db. It doesn't and its still loud. I have drilled my turn down end tail pipe to accept 2 bolts in a cross pattern. I am gonna stuff some corse steel wool in the pipe (not too much) to help baffle the sound for the annual test. I'll remove it afterwards though. :) In the long term I am going to get a custom back box made up as someone told me to say the car could possibly run lean at the top end of the rev range. However I am not sure so will need to check it out. I love the sound. |
