Dangerous to Drive without Helper Spring?
Hey,
My Clutch Helper Spring snapped over the weekend, luckily very close to my house....the car seemed to run just fine after this with the exception of having to deal with the ultra hard to push down clutch!!! Is it ok to drive around like this for a short while...I probably wont do the repair until fourth of July weekend....except for building my leg muscles will I do the tranny/engine any harm? Thanks!!! |
I believe it's called the horseshoe spring. Mine broke last year and as far as I know you can drive it.

if it rotates around between lever and trans, it can block the lever so the clutch won't release. zip tie it to the lever so it cant swing.
