Just saw a three minute long Porsche commercial... an extended version of the one where the kid goes to the dealership on his bike. Pretty cool.

I've been watching on and off, but I'm watching now. Routing for Audi and Aston Martin, and of course, Porsche.

I just saw the sidelight about how Audi replaced the entire rearend of the R8 in 2000 in like 3.5 minutes, in and out of the pits. Incredible. This is the end of the R8 I understand. Simply incredible.

My wife's at work (night nurse) and I'm sitting in bed with my laptop and watching the race, sooo....

I guess my wife's right. I'm a dork.

BTW, they need to get rid of those chicanes on the Mulsanne staight.

I can't imagine being a dork by watching one of the greatest auto races of all time. Now if you were watching "Life Time", that would be a different story.
I've been there twice; it's an amazing event, especially at night with the cars blasting down Mulsanne at full tilt.
Europeans know how to enjoy life.

As of 6:00 this morning the Alex Job Porsche is in position one in GT2 and in 12th overall ! So far 21 cars have fallen out of the race. A true test of man and machine. I don't think anyone is a dork watching this quality of racing. Go Porsche !!!

Yup. I'm a dork.
My 2 year old son and I got up early to watch the final hours this morning.
Happy Father's Day to all of my Pelican dad buddies!

Stayed up until Midnight watching it. Then got up at 5 am to watch the last two hours. What the hell happened to Aston? Glad to see the R8 doing so well and yes I gotta say that it is good to see the American Corvettes doing well also. It goes without saying that I am pulling for Porsches in GT2. Next.......the U.S. Grand Prix. What a great day for racing.

Happy fathers day

Actually, I took my wife to dinner and a musical, and made it home for the start of the Midnight (edt, actually dawn in France) coverage. I did miss some of the night racing, but made points with the wife, and still have been able to watch a lot of the race.

I'm there also. Someone keep it simple.and explain this to me.GT 1 it's Corv. Aston and Ferrari. Porsche is GT2 what is the diff. and why can't we run against them. GT2 is Porsche , so a win there is nice, but well they seem to be racing againts other Porsches only.
