Toyo Proxys T1-R's
I'm Getting ready for new tires on my 89 911.
I run 205/45/16 and 245/45/16 I do not have many choices. From what I read these new Toyo's look like what I am looking for. Anybody have any experience with these ?? Thanks, Chuck |

I just had a set installed on my 87 911 - 225/50 and 245/45 on 7x8x16 Fuchs. I bought these after having a set of 225/45-17 on my 328i since April. These are the replacement for the T1-S. Note that the T1-Rs are not really "R" compound tires. Just a name...
First impressions (on 911) - lots of grip even when not fully warmed up. Relatively quiet on the highway and compliant over bumps etc. Haven't had a chance in the rain yet. Based on my Bimmer, I expect similar exceptional performance. More miles will tell.....and some track time ![]() |

205/45 is awfully small on the front of a big heavy 89. Can you do a 205/55 or a 215/50??
