Window Arm attachment

About every 18 months, my drivers side window decides to pull out of the lifting arm and just sit in the track. After putting up with it for another year or so, I re-glue the @#@!~% to the arm and it works fine for another 18 months.

Since I'm doing this for the 4th time in my ownership...
What is the best glue/attachment to get the window to stay mated to the lifting arm?

thanks!

JB Weld will make it so that the window never comes out of the track. Just make sure you never want to take the window out in one piece.

When I repaired my doors the glass was held in by JB Weld. When I re-assembled them I used the rubber by itself. My glass just pulled out last week. I guess the JB Weld is required.

thanks! I'll give it a try.

Are your windows manual or power? How tight is the glass in the rails? I replace the felt strip and I'm thinking it is too tight.

they're power windows.
I have a targa, so I can adjust the pitch and yaw of the window, so tight felt isn't an issue for me.
Just bad glue, time and again..

Since your thread is over...

Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the gears in a manual winder? Mine clunk something awful....

I just sent mine to Stoddard, they have a rebuilding service.

If its the original felt you can spray it with WD40 or just replace the felt. Old felt really causes resistance especially when wet.
