when you take your car to get an alignment...
who decides all the settings? i barely have a grasp on all the jargon. do i just take the copy of my old settings? part of my summer "to-do" list is some suspension bushing stuff from elephantR. trying to do some homework, and work out the budget.

Vash,
Spend a few minutes with the guy doing the suspension. Talk over how you use your car (commuter, AX, track, canyon carving, etc...). If he knows his way around 911s, he will have some advice for you. |
Cliff, I agree. I don't know where you plan on taking it, but the guys over at Custom Alignment in Mountain View really know their stuff. They asked me a lot of questions about my car and how I want it set up based on how I drive etc. They asked about AX, how often etc. Great guys to work with. They are a little spendy perhaps, but no so much that it's unrealistic. Plus, I am willing to pay a little more for such an expertise.
You could always do your work in my garage and then take it in from here. Just an idea :) -Chris |
chris, thanks, i will keep that option open. i want to go to CA, but that is a long drive, all out of alignment. i may have a trailer option too. thanks.

If it's just your spring plate bushings, I am sure we can get things back really close. If you are also messing with ride height and other settings, you may be right. I think you would be fine getting to a shop after a bushing job.
Especially on your old tires :) -Chris |
Brandon Kraus at Roger Kraus in Castro Valley knows his way around a 911 and will set it up the way you like it.

Id like to second steve911...Brandon did an excellent job for me, and asked all the pertinent questions regarding my driving usage, and desires. Roger Kraus Racing. http://www.rogerkrausracing.com/
