Marlboro Painted 72 911

Anybody know what happened to the Marlboro painted 911 that used to reside in Houston?? Was owned by a fellow named Scotty who passed away a few years ago. Was a very cool paint job.

He passed away? I know the car but not where it is now. I've wondered about him and his car also.

I may be able to contact someone who does. Have you checked with the guys at Pro Technik in Stafford?

Why was the car painted up with Marlboro graphic's? was he sponsored or was he a happy customer?

In any case I hope he didn't pass away from product usage.

Scotty sold the car to the son of the guy who owns the Archer dealerships around town. They had it for sale on their lot for a while. I think for a while they were trying to sell it as a Marlboro sponsered factory race car.

This was at least 5 years ago. Where the car is now I have no idea.

After Scotty sold his Marlboro car had a variety of cars including a boxter, Vernon Maxwell's purple C2 cab, a couple of ferraris and maybe a viper or something, I can't remember. Scotty was an interesting fellow and a true Car-freak.

So, what happened to Scotty?

Scotty was fighting cancer. He died rather suddenly though and I think it was his heart that gave out but I can't remember, it's been a while.
