Howdy, newbie here. One-owner (now two) 1989 Carrera, black/champagne beige partial leather, 89K miles, good mechanical and cosmetic condition. I wanted this car (a Porsche) for THIRTY years, a true lifelong obsession.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1119911470.jpg

The question: I'm kinda compulsive about planning and keeping track of all the work I plan to do. I would like to employ some maintenance tracking software like Keepitup! (was here http://www.wugnet.com/shareware/99/week175/) and was wondering what other people use? Does someone has a copy of Keepitup to share?

I've kept a spreadsheet of everything I've done w/miles & date since I got her. I omit the prices in case my wife ever sees it.

I use Automotive Wolf. It works. Someone with a little time and motivation could smooth over its rough edges though.

Nice that it's Freeware. There is still the risk of orphaned formats, etc. I use Excel and have a list of things on Word also. You could use Outlook or some similar calendering package to tickely you for dates with the alarm function.

- I always try to keep data in a broadly based format so I will never have to go thru the horrible experience of transfering and reformatting data from an Amdahl to an Apple II, and soon thereafter to an hp technical workstation. After that it was IBM PC/Windows and nothing else for the rest of my life...
