Ball Joint covers/boots???
Does anyone know if the rubber ball joint covers/boots are sold without buying the whole ball joint? Does anyone have some?? My dad tried using a ball joint fork to seperate the strut from the a-arm and tore a small hole in one of the boots. The ball joints themselves are still very good and I would hate to replace them. Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks, Rick

Looking at the way the boot is crimped on there, I doubt you can replace just the boot. I have never seen it sold separately. Looks like you are buying a new balljoint.
Next time just smack the Ctrl. arm with a BFH and the ball joint will separete from the strut nicely, unless it has been in there for a couple decades. George |

Thanks
Thanks for replies. I did use the BFH to get the strut off. It was my dad who tried the fork before I could stop him. Oops!! I will just buy the new ball joints.
