it used to be that AJ USA had them made overseas (Italy?) but that dried up. So now the only real new source is the dealer at ...... $800 each! There was a new set on ebay last week that sold for about $800 pair
They do come thru used somewhat seldom at $350-400 pair

Mike (and Dave):
I always thought the SC/Carrera flares offered the same amount of clearance as the RS flares |

souk- you are correct regarding clearances on the RS- SC flare. Its the edge detail that differs

Some thoughts Mike:
Have someone who's really good with metal work and a welder (probably Dave's welder) add a 1-1.5" strip of sheet metal to your fenders. Or get a set of SC/Carrera flares and section a piece out then onto your rear fenders...you'll probably want to do the fronts too (with a strip of sheet metal) so the front/rear fender proportions look right. Or you can buy the ultra expensive RUF fender flares that will add about 1 inch to your rear. Either way, there will be some welding. You of course know that I'd rather weld a strip in than spend money to buy the RUF parts ![]() If all you want is meat under the car, try 10" wheels and run 265 or 275 tires. You'll have to move the oil line on the passenger side in the rear to clear the wider tire/rim. You might even have to shave the eccentric bolts a bit. I'm fitting some 265 tires on one of our steel 10" rims in a week or so....that's plenty of rubber for me....on a 2200-2300 lbs car running a 195 HP engine. |
