1988 targa lights help

I got these photo's from a guy of a targa I'm interested in buying. This is my first 911 purchase. When I looked at the photo of the lights it looks as though the gapping around the headlight rings are to large. Is it me or are they large? I also included the other photo's so if any one sees anything else they think I should look into let me know. He told me I was going to need to cover the fron seats, how much would that run. I don't know if anyone could tell me from the photo's as to if the interior is basic or loaded. The photo's are large so you may need to drag them on to you desk top to see them fully.
thanks
Treeska

The gaps aren't exactly tight on these cars. They were designed this way to allow maximum amounts of water to get inside the buckets.
What year are you talking about? Here are my gaps on a stock 87.

To attach a pic, scroll down below where you type your message and click the link that says "Click here to Upload a Photo..."

You may have to temporarily disable popup blockers or you won't see all the attachment windows. Shrinking your photo down to around 100kb helps too.

I'm posting this pic for treeska. This is the car he is interested in. The gaps around the headlights look normal to me for that year (88).

Gaps look fine. Hood alignment does not...yes, I realize it's not closed.

On the left headlight ring you have the middle screw on the fender side of the ring. On the right headlight ring you have the center screw on the hood side of the ring. Are they supposed to be like that?
Thanks

Yes. The headlights shouldn't be your primary concern though. See Drago's comment above. In addition to the hood misalignment, the whole front end looks skewed. It may be a bad picture, but the bumper looks lower on the driver's side (or pushed in on the passenger's side), and there appears to be a larger gap on the front valance showing on the passenger side.

I don' t think the bumper is off I think that because the trunk is open it gives the look as though it is off. My concern is not for the headlight but for the reason the headlight is wrong if it is wrong. auto body places screw up gaps all the time no big deal easy to see if you look for them. A crooked bumper even at the worst body shop will usually be straightened because the customer no matter how dumb will see it.
The rings around the headlights are something a shop could get away with and the customer not notice. Screw placement is not something most people look at or remember hence this conversation. So if someone has a 1988 that they know has never been in smashed in the front, can you load a photo with both headlights so I can compair.
Thanks for the imput please let me know if you guys have anything else
Treeska

As mentioned, the headlight rings (screw placement) and gap are normal. They only go on one way. The rings are only held in place via the bottom screws. the other "holes" are for beam adjustment.
