83 911sc pricing advice

Searching for a 911 targa, newbie here but I have learned alot from this board, anyway thinking of getting a PPI done on a 83 911sc targa, body looks very good, 60k miles... a/c does not work... I realize pricing is subjective... curious what these cars go for.. so go ahead and chime in .......... thanks Ed

Car depending on PPI would run $10k -13k ...AC is a fix that will require $500-$2k depeidng on items being fixed....Run carfax to check mileage of car...check documents...

anything above $14k you run into Carrera cars 915

$10-$13K would be on the low side for a super clean 60K mile car IMO. Of course it all depends greatly on condition, availability in your area, color, options, etc.

I'd say that clean, lower mileage SCs go for $14-$16K. If this car looks like it rolled off the dealer floor not too long ago then it's probably worth about $20K+. Post pics of the car you're talking about.

what they said. If you can verify (usually through service records) that it is a real 60K car, and everything is well sorted, it likely is worth north of $15K.

AC doesn't work? The top comes off, doesn't it? Who needs AC...

I agree ... nothing like an open air ride... however on days when I am in suit and tie would be desirable ...... since a/c doesn't work is tha car still north $15k?
