3.6 widebody conversion update

OK the bumbers are now on and the car has been repainted (same color as before... complete paint job next year).

Whilst I love the side and rear view I am not sold 100% on the front bumper...

I played with photoshop a little bit and I think it will look much better when I put the IROC "PORSCHE" graphics on the side and on the bumper itself.

The headlights will help breaking the sea of guards red too...

The 2 extra openings on the bumper are goint to be used for either 2 A/C condenses or 2 Air/Water intercoolers if I decide to add turbochargers to the 3.6... we'll see...

I like the 934 front bumper/splitter. I can't recall previously seeing one on a street car.

934 front bumper looks great, but needs the rockers to balance/connect the heavy front with the back.

I have the rockers.... I thought it would look better without.... Just spent $300 to weld and repaint all the rocker panels' holes...

Never mind...

And yes it needs to be lowered. We'll take care of that with corner balance next week.

That is a nice looking front end, small children could get sucked up in that thing.

Hopefully this doesn't sound critical, but my personal opinion would be to lose the stock front smile and the rear bumper seal. They just don't seem to work and leave a look of 'just hanging' there. Might want to consider using a C2 turbo front seal and some body welting on the rear, or just use the body welting front and rear, to give a nice seam all the way to the wheel wells.

thank you. I wanted something a little unusual. There are so many beautiful RSRs on the board that I thought I'd go a different way.

I eventually narrowed it down to the 934 and the IROC bumpers... I am starting to second guess my choice but if the worst comes to the worst I can always go back to IROC... It's only money, no?

no offense taken. The smile in the front bumper is "needed" as we are retaining the stock bumper struts and there would be a little clearence problem with the fiberglass piece. I have not seen the C2 front seal...

The car has now been in the shops 4 months and I am dying to get it back...
I like the rear look as it is... for the front I might explore some new solutions in as I get bored...
