James,
It is not going to be possible to get a useful warranty beyond 100K in my experience. They are out therem but the cost/benefit ratio is pretty dismal when you see all the things they DO NOT cover, and they generally have a max dollar payout as well. Caveat Emptor in this area big time...;-(( |
Two possible alternatives:
1. Buy a low miles example (<6000/yr), keep it low miles, then: 1a. Sell it below 75000 miles, best value point in general. 1b. If you decide to keep it beyond 75K miles, put $500/month into a maintenance / repair account. Thats your new car payment...)) |
good advice!

A 3.6 in your car vs. an M5?
Your car will be undoubtedly faster. I was <this> close to buying this car last year: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1120670006.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1120670072.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1120670121.jpg |
I like the M5 but I think I am going to go 540i and save some cash. Ill get my speed fix in the 911.
|
The 540i is not a slug - even with auto trans it's FUN to drive, and WILL get you a ticket if not careful...

They're 17" Cromodoras. I ditched the OEM 15 inchers as soon as the crummy Pirelli's wore out. What a difference!! Brings the car closer to P car handling (required content) |
