I need to run new fuel line through the tunnel. What should I use?

Hi,

I've got a 69T and a 79 3.0 SC engine. My fuel pump is located up front...what's the best fuel line to run from the back of the car through the tunnel? And any tips running it through? I know it's a PITA, but I don't want to make my life any more difficult by running the wrong stuff.

Thanks,

mto

I'm going to be doing the same soon. I'm installing a fuel cell in my Carrera. I'm planning on using 3/8" aluminum flex. But I'd be interested in other's opinions.

I'm going to do this on a 914 real soon now, and I'm planning on bending mild steel lines to fit. Not exactly the same thing as a 911, but close.

Why not use OEM SC lines? I replaced mine this past spring and although it's a bit of a challenge it would have been that much more difficult to measure/cut/add fittings, etc than just bolting up new OEM lines.

Not sure if the SWB/LWB thing will have an impact.

Well...Dave from Dart Auto in Denver ran this plastic line through the tunnel for my other car...and I had no problems with it. I was just curious if I could get something from the local Checker and run with that.
