85 4-way power seat --> manual

Gots me a question...

i currently have 1985 4-way leather seats in my 72 targa...

(boo, hiss, hiss, he's evil, he has desecrated the sanctity of the long hood with late parts...)

okay, now that we have that out of the way...

with a helmet on, i hit the head liner. for AX, i just take off the targa top. but i have to have the top in place if i want to DE.

i can move the sliders inboard on the manual seat. with new brackets, i should be able to drop the seat about one inch.

the 4-way power seat has a one piece slider/raising system. consequently, the rails cannot be made more narrow. (they make a U-shaped frame when viewed from above)

is it possible to make the 4-way seat a manual seat?

these are a clean, well padded set. i thought about just trading out this set for two manual seats, but wasn't sure if i could get another nice set...

any suggestions?... thanks!!
