Jeremy964 looks great ! Extrude hone guys have done great work for me twice.

Most recently they did a motorcycle intake matched to a Mikuni hsr42 and the difference was impressive. They also made a deliberate point of not making the intake perfectly smooth, explaining that some turbulence is necessary to promote the best air/fuel mixture.

Nope, The comment was wrong and had no place here. This really isn't what this board is about. I actually don't even care for the term 'rice' and I'm surprised no one as spoken up about that. Just because you lived in Puerto Rico doesn't give you the rights to insult...kinda like saying ooh I lived in mississippi and this is what we call black people. Bull! Its a bit different then being critical of english ,french or german engineer so you can forget that arguement. Think exactly what the comment was indicating. Hey, dude you're wrong and an apology is in order.

Nice Job on the intake. Like seeeu911 said. It is necessary to have some roughness for good a/f mixture and atomization. That is if fuel and air are passing through there.

On the "puerto rican socket set" comment. I was born and raised in PR. I started working on my folks cars even before I drove(broke a lot of ****). I did not take any offense by it. I actually chuckled since I know exactly what was meant. This is a place where an oil sender is called a small onion (cebollita). A stud is an asparragus (esparrago) and a starter solenoid is called a small pig (puerquito). The puertorican mechanic is very creative and it is that same creativity that fosters bad habits in the use of tools. It has come a long way though. Street racing machines were called "tuerquitas" or small nut. because there was a lot of creativity and invention when it came to put them together. Think of cars being put together with baling wire. They do a tremendous amount of engine swaps. particularly stuffing rotary engines in anything that needs an engine. I think that a lot of the "creative license"comes from. We should not be so uptight. It was not a racial slur. It was a joke. I believe there's at least one more puertorican on this board. Lets ask him and see if he was offended.

The Wimp is a misnomer as he is known for 185ph runs on the street on his Hyabusa too. They call me the Pimp because I like making things look pretty.

Call it a "welsh socket set" - I'm welsh - so I won't be offended... I contemplated creating a new thread just for this reason - let it go guys - it's tough on a public forum - you don't to see people or hear the inflection in their voice... Thanks - the vice grip trick worked - yes, the extrude hone process made the intake pretty smooth - but not totally.

I hope that some day there is enough equality in the world that we can all get out ethnic jokes back -- esp. the Scottish ones (my heritage).

Porsche calls them rubber mounts.
They are used for several applications, such as the front oil cooler, the air pump, etc.
The part number is 930-110-194-00. i recently bought a stack of them on the fatherland's ebay for 5 EU a piece.
