Please help me decide on wheels...
I wanted some track wheels, and got sidetracked in buying these 3 pc HRE's. They're too nice, so I had second thoughts when I got'em, and have them listed for sale. Now, I'm thinking of making these my street wheels, and use the Fuchs for DE's with some RA-1s. What do you think?
The HREs have some pretty deep backspacing, but I think I'm going to have HRE put on new inners on the fronts (1" less), which will still leave them at 7 1/2" wide. The backs are 10" wide, I'll prolly leave alone and use the 1 1/2" adaptors I have for them. I'm kinda liking the black centers now....

I think you have the same desease as many of us - always think there is something better or a change we can make to get the car "perfect"! We can't leave well enough alone. Those are both very nice wheels. I'm partial to the polished petal look myself.

I like the Fucsh. The hre's look nice because they're shiny and new. Refinish the Fuch's and they'll have the same effect.

Actually, the Fuchs are pretty well polished. Here's a pic of the HREs on the car:

HRE's. But then, I don't much care for the polished petals...
Still, there is something about that heavy backspacing that doesn't look right either... What to do... ianc

I see you have Avons and S03s, how do they compare? There has been some debate between the 2 lately.

The S03s are great, the Avons have not been driven in anger yet, they came with the wheels.

Shoot, now that I look at it, it is high in the back. I guess removing the Carrera tail, A/C compressor and bracket, and condenser make a bit of difference...

Those HREs look great. I'd do exactly as you were thinking: HREs for the street, and old Fuchs with R-compound for track. You can't miss, and your car will look great at both venues!

Use the HREs on the track. I like the deep Fichs for the road and having the centers further out is a plus for the track. I honestly don't know why franlkly but I have heard it is.

Other way around... Use the HRE's for maximum bling - bagging the ho's in big D - use the fuchs for the track. I personally don't like the idea of big spacers on track cars, even with longer studs...

I'm leaning toward the majority here, HRE's for street, Fuchs for track. The Fuchs are also lighter....Thanks for all of the feedback!
