Must be 0.8 mm, right???

8 mm would give plenty of protection, but would be quite heavy and expensive, I bet!

thanks, brian. i went directly to 3m via their website and they said they wouldn't sell to me (an end user.) i don't really want a kit since i have a nonstock front spoiler. i am hoping to find a source for the material in role form and do my own. i'll try the google though.

yes - .8mm. i couldn'nt take the weight.......

I have seen it in bulk rolls on Ebay for around $50.

You need a mixture of soap and water to install it and flat card to push out the bubbles, I've put some on my cars it's a pain but doable after learning it, it works well for chip protection.
