There's an airshow at the Gainsville Airport tomorrow. My son has been counting the minutes. I'll probably have the only Porsche in the parking lot...unfortunately.

Have fun!

Jerry, you wouldn't happen to live in west Marietta would you? I just passed my first 911 since I got mine a few months ago and it was right next to my subdivision....Looked like a 84-89 coupe.....We each waved and I want to chat for a minute but there was traffic......So cool to think there's another Pelican'er so close.....

Great show! Nice to see the yellow 911 take best in show over and above all the "exotics", including Diablo.

The yellow 911 was a 73 S.
Here is what one of the guys sent out in an e-mail about the car.

It was a great show. Glad the older yellow 911 won best of show. That car was mint, and the story behind it was neat too. It belonged to a Hollywood stunt man back in the 70’s. that guy ended up selling it to a guy who put it in a airplane hanger in LA where it sat for years and years. It was later discovered and restored.

The guy who restored it is some famous Porsche restorer and it then changed hands to a guy in either Washington or Oregon. The current owner bought it fairly recently and spent a ton of money on it.

The owner now lives in Alpharetta and the car will probably be making a lot of local shows, hopefully the Giovanni events.
