What would happen if I...?

accidently switched two of the fuel injectors when putting them back on the motor?

i had to take two of the injectors out to gain access to the heater tube, and while i'm fairly sure i put them back on correctly, they may have been switched. i also knocked a vacuum line off but out that back on too. here is the problem, after starting the car, it has been running terrible, backfiring at ilde and upon deacceleration, so i cant seem to figure out what happened. i hadnt run the car for several days, but it never ran this bad before...any help on if it was something i did or something i can check would be great.

I don't think switching injectors is an issue with the CIS on your SC- all injectors spray constantly.

Let's not forget that CIS stands for Continuous Injection System.

Like Ubi said, all injectors spray continuously, but one injector might be partially plugged if you are experiencing differences.

Pull your injectors, fill them with carb cleaner (at the top where the lines connect, just a little is all that will go in), and blow the carb cleaner through the injector with an air hose which has a rubber tip. If you see a concical-shaped spray of carb cleaner, your injector is fine. If not, it's not.

You will die or at the very least kill small children walking across the cross walk.:)

Wood paneling will suddenly appear on the side of the car....
