Is it a trunk or a boot?

Anyhoo... I started pulling out that useless heater stuff. I'm pretty convinced on going to headers and just loosing all HVAC stuff. I would like to get vent air though. I need to fab up a solution for that so I can loose the huge fan box.

Sweet! I went one step further and cut out the ducts.

Can you clarify I would like to get vent air though. ? Seems it would be simple to engineer something to duct air straight from the cowl to the vents.

I agree with you. I have done the same thing.

Brother,
I did want defrost, so I hooked the heater tubes direct to the front window vents. This solution is untested, as I haven't hooked all the ducts up, yet. (I have Thom's backdated heat on the fan shroud.

Further, I'm going to figure out a way to duct the cowl air into the car for venting. Aircraftspruce.com is a good resource for ducting and the like. I know they have a kit that allows you to close the vent, too.

Tell me about that kit. I was just thinking about making a scoop that terminates into the front vents. I'll lose everything else. I'll suffer without defrost as I'm planning on going to headers.

I want to keep the fresh air vent. I don't care about the blower, but I want some way to get air from the front cowl to the cabin.

I'm planning on building a little scoop to screw into the back of the cowl and feed into the existing hose that is still plugged into fan box in the picture.

Shouldn't be too hard, but I haven't really done fiberglass work before. That is why I was asking you those questions last week.

Do you guys know where to get block off plates for the engine fan? I don't want to pay 90 bucks for plastic. Currently I have the backdated setup.
