Input, Spring plate angle on my '69
I will be installing the rear suspension on my '69 n the next few weeks. I'll be putting factory adjustable spring plates with aluminun arms, etc. Thom & Wil's calculator says 29 to 30 degrees (based on 2,200 lb.) The car till have 24mm (24.1 mm?) torsion bars. It will be running a 2.7L, 915 and Webers - no AC. Anybody out there who has experience with a similar car & setup who can give a little input or confirmation?

I've found the calculator to be very accurate; I just installed 31mm torsion bars and other than some adjustments for corner balancing, it was spot on @ 17 degrees.
The important thing is to get the weight right. |
Yep, found the calculator great. I just recently upped my 24mm to 27mm - I personally found the 24mm too light when I dropped my 2.7 in. I found the extra torque of the engine would cause the car to squat too much.
