anyone up for an RS replica? buy it now, $79k
Curious what people think about this????

you'll just need to do a search in Ebay, for Porsche RS, sort by highest price and it will float to the top....

Looks like a very good replica, true to the original RS and clean. Unlike most replicas that are "super RS". But that Buy it now price is approaching the value of a real one.

From what I know that shop has a great reputation and they tend to have a client base that pays top top dollar for their cars. It truly looks awesome, good candidate to bring to the B/J auction and let the ego’s bid on it while on TV.

Wow. Certainly is very authentic looking. I suppose that's worth a little something. But, if it's not the real thing, at what point does one really care about authenticity?

It's a well known strategy to put a super high BIN price so you will be at the top of the list when sorted by highest price. It's called search manipulation. I doubt the seller thinks he will get $79k for it.

The downside of that strategy - prospective buyers assume the seller has unrealistic expectations and reserve. They choose not to bid.

Another good point. However I think most people who might be a serious buyer for that car would know that there's another reason he's selling on eBay and go ahead and add their names to 'the list'. And, too, it would weed out the "cheapies" and tire kickers.
