reliability of 1990-94 911s vs. other years?

Hi,

Besides the well-known dual mass flywheel issues, how is the general reliability of the 1990-94 911s vs. other years? I am looking for a used 911 to use as a daily driver (probably about 9,000 miles per year), with some potential time on the track. I would like to minimize the time and money spent on repairs. Thanks for any thoughts.

Shane

Hard to say. They changed a lot beginning w/ 1989 c4, and only time will tell...how many 964 owners have 200k miles or something?
Mine seems reliable. The AC didn't work. I had it refilled today and the compressor changed. Hopefully it will stay cool...we'll see.

Very reliable. Just look for a '92-'94. Or a '90-'91 that got the cylinder update and top-end overhaul.

These are without a doubt the best bang for the buck, and the most undervalued Porsche out there.

Do a little lightening, and they make an awesome track car starting point.

From everything I've heard, if you buy well, they're great cars. Like Tyson said...most undervalued Porsches out there. I'm hoping to add one to my collection when my T is "done".
