"New" S bumper FINALLY with deco trim

Jamie Novak may not recognize this as the mangled red beast I bought off of him over 2 years ago. I beat on it for a year, and had the final dinging and paint done for a couple of hundred bucks. The paint is not a perfect match, but I think once the deco is mounted the shadow lines will hide that fact. In any case, I am happy to be done with the primer gray mangled standard bumper...into the trash heap it goes.

my "unmarked" Momo wheel

frame is identical to Prototipo, larger diameter so you can see your gages, and smaller diameter grip. I love it.

Your car looks great. The seams all look uniform. You should be very proud. I love the color too.

Wow Chris, you did a fantastic job!! Now I know one of the reasons I have not heard from you in a while. You have been spending all your time wrenching.

Are you going to install the bumperettes or leave it smooth?

There are easy ways to anneal the S trim to make it easy to mold to the new bumper. This is the best way to get a tight fit.

TX tags? Did you move?

The picture where you see the neighborhood looks like the north end of Houston.

Nope, still in VA. A perk of still being active duty is that I maintain TX state residency and avoid taxes. ( Can I say that outloud?) Jamie, how can I get the trim to fit? I have an aftermarket that is a POS. I do not plan on using it at all. There is a used one enroute with new T-bolts as well. I am sure you are enjoying the Austin scene. My wife and I had plans to retire in the hill country eventually, but have fallen in love with the mid atlantice area, so we are selling our 5 acres in Boerne. We do miss Austin, I have countless hours on sixth street, Maggies, the Jalisco Bar, Juanita's for breakefast.

Nice looking car! If you were still in Austin, I'd be looking forward to seeing it. Looks like it should be a fun car!

Neat color, I'd like to see it in several different lighting conditions, and in person - bet it's even nicer than whats on my screen.

Nice E. Is that 2.2L sticker original? I don't have one on mine... If you leave the front deco off you should pull it from the sides too, just to be consistent... but I like the stock look myself.
