Speedo slow indicating real speed

NHS repaired the odometer last winter; speedo worked good.
Now the speed indicator comes up too slow to the actual speed; doesn't indicate after 80m/ph.
Any thoughts?

wrong size tires?

What have tires to do with a speedo not indicating any speed after 80m/ph?

Obviously sticking somewhere. If you do not feel comfortable with taking the speedo apart yourself, try sending it back and see if they will give you a discount on the repair.

The change in gearing is slight enough that it isn't apparent at lower speeds. but you knew that, right?

I assumed he meant INCORRECT speed. Is he saying the speedometer just drops to zero at 80?
