Just wondering if anyone has used a cool collar on there 911?
Does it live up to its claim?

I had one on my filter...Don't know if it made a difference to the oil temp, but it sure is good at tearing the skin off my knuckles!!

5 years now...no idea if it works but it's nice to grip on when changing the filter.

Doesn't seem to do a thing when the temps are in the 90s, but then at those temps, my neck swells and tends to cut off the circulation.

I've used one for years... I am a computer tech and cpu chip's
have always used similar heat sink type cooling fins. They use
fans on them, but the cooling fins are the most effective way
to dissipate heat.

They do transfer some heat.
Whether or not that amount is enough to make any difference at all is hotly debated.
Lots O'folks say it doesn't make any measurable difference, some say it makes a slight difference, all the tests I have seen indicate no measureable difference with the stock guages.

no noticable impact on the guage from either the cool collar or the front scoop.

Thanks for the replies, and I now realize there is a lot of debate over the cool collar I will keep reading.
