Any Get togethers in the Midwest
 

Hello!

New Pelicanite here. Any get togethers or going's on in the Midwest any time soon? I am on the Ohio Pa border, but willing to drive. You guys talk about passing other Porsche's on the road. Most people around here don't even know what kind of car I have.
EXAMPLE: Walmart parking lot just this evening.... "Hey nice car!" says the girl. "Thanks" I respond. "What is it?" says the girl. "Its a Porsche" I respond. I proceed to pop the hood to adjust my idle and "Wow the motor is in the back, come look John" says the girl and brings her friend over. "What kinda Porsche is it?" asks the girl. Before I can respond John chimes in "Its a Targa stupid it says so on the side!"
So as you can see I need some Porsche companionship

Glider...There is a PCA weekend long DE at Gingerman Raceway (SE Michigan) that should see a lot of Pelican and Gruppe B'ers from the Midwest attending (right GUYS! :) ) Or if you want to go East, the Dorki's are more rabid than we are.

There is a nice get together this Sunday with the Northern Ohio PCA (www.NORPCA.org)

We are doing a "garage tour". It starts mid morning and last time we had about 30-40 cars. We simply "tour" interesting garages of local auto enthusists (usually porsche). The route is usually the back road twisties. Usually one of the stops has lunch and then we meet up somewhere or at someones house for dinner. This Sunday there is a corn roast at the end at the Presidents house. The last one was a great time.

We may have a benefit carshow for my nephew here in Warsaw, IN. Still trying to secure some pavement but I am shooting for Sept. 3rd. It’s an annual GruppeB event followed by the infamous GruppeB Bonfire Of Doom!!! Stay tuned for details…..

We fly into Warsaw Ind all the time. Maybe we can get together sometime for lunch. We should be in there next week for a day. The company I fly with owns Midwest rollforming out on the east side of town. We are usually in there at least once a week. Let me know if you want to get together sometime.
