4 Door 911...
I was reading an article about Porsche planning to launch a streched out 911 four door for year 2008. So I thought, what would a four door 911 look like? So I Gimped...
911 for comparison ![]() Then I found an article with a picture of the car to be called the "Panamera" ![]() What do you guys think of this car?

I just keep waiting for Porsche to propose a pickup.
![]() They could call it the Caballero, just like the GMC version of the infamous Chevy El Camino.

I don't even care anymore. The only Porsches that concern me were all made 10+ years ago. I just hope they make enough money selling SUVs, four doors, minivans and bicycles to get back into (serious) racing. Who here wouldn't want to see a Porsche F1 car?

I used to think this was weird...
...but it's grown on me. I'm sure a Porsche four-door will do the same. Heck! I don't think the 996 and 997 are too bad. The watercooled engine is more strange, however...

I still don't think that the two words, "sedan" and "sports car" will ever work synonymously.
IMO, if you want to sport, leave the family at home.

But keep in mind Porsche and the ground they can't afford to lose to other four-door producers like BMW, M-B, Volvo, and the rest. Their four-door better be damn close to the traditional 911-style of performance and handling, or the others will trounce it simply because of price point and functionality, which is where the strength of four-door cars lie. Heck, even Saturn has a performance four door that does 0-60 in 6.2 seconds while carrying three slack-jawed passengers. In all, it's a classic case of marketing vs. tradition. Tradition, of course, has long been dead with Porsche with the advent of the Boxster/996 water-cooled cars.

I have a true understanding for the argument for the 'sedan sport car' keeping manufactures alive, no mater who they happen to be.
But, coming from a motorcycle mentality, and mind you I am not trying to come across stuck up, but from a two wheel perspective unless it has the lines of a C-GT or a Testarossa, to me it is utilitarian and just another mass produced cage clogging the already clogged road of America. Sorry, just a wee bit o' vent!

What's next?!? A station wagon.... with the engine in the front AND front wheel drive.
What can I say, the car doesn't know what it wants to be... people carrier - or - sports car? Neither; is what I say.

Looks like a Citroen DS from the 60's/70's (I think it was the 60's and 70's anyway, I wasn't around back then).
Citroen had those in cabriolet version as well... and are going for good money these days.

Following their current marketing trend maybe they should call it the
Ca Ca. Seriously, I'll have to reserve judgement until I see it for real.
