body work/ paint question.

my brother, had a brainfart and tapped the 75 911 with a boat prop. well he gouged the paint a bit. luckily, he lives in el paso, texas, and he has a fantastic paint man, for a friend. the guy said the 911 paint job is very thick, and he can rub down the factory paint ot make it shiny and factory looking. then any gouges, door dings, and the one tiny rust bubble can me sanded down and repaired, and resprayed.

does this sound right? is it that thick?

oh, his estimate was $300. and he may search a duck, and install that. life is cheaper over there, for sure.
