twin pluggin "wires"

I have my original ignition wires and I am installing a 964 twin ignition can I just buy another set of wires or do I need the special 964 wires?

Alot depends on how the lower wires are routed as the lengths will be different so you couldn't just purchase two identical upper sets and expect to use one for the lower plugs. The bottom wires for cylinders 1-3 will be approx. 10"-12" longer than the top and the bottom wires for cylinders 4-6 will be approx. 4"-6" longer than the top wires, respectively.

You can make up your own set using original connectors with bulk cable which allows you to have a matching set for all 12 plugs plus the two coil wires. Alternatively, one of the aftermarket companies may be able to make you up a set to your specs.

Steve Brown at Magnecor was kind enough to make up a custom set for my motor based on the lengths that I provided him.

You can give him a call at 248.471.9505 as Magnecor is in Michigan.

Good Luck!

Ralph

I bought a new set and used my old one for some of the lower plugs. You need to grab a few off another set to make it work with the reach. I got my spare wires from my mechanic's garage off a 3.2 that wasn't being used. When I was looking to pick up one from Magnacor from Rennsport, they were backorderd or something and I wasn't in the mood for waiting. All in all, the orignals work out right and the set up didn't set me back too much.
