Dashboard question
 

I am in need of assistance. I need to purchase a dashboard for my new acquisition - '88 Cab, but in looking around on E-bay, etc, there are a lot of opinions about what year dash will fit. Other than the obvious ('88), can anyone tell me what year 911 dash will fit w/o modification. Once I am clear on this isue, I will start looking carefully to buy the right item

I'm reasonably sure that an '87 will fit as well. It is possible,
but I don't know for sure if an '84-86 will fit.

I think any 86+ will work. Porsche changed the dash in 1986 to add larger side vents (think the center vent was larger as well). I believe the earlier dashes will fit, but you'd be regressing in terms of available airflow in the cabin.

Any dash from '86 to '89 will fit your '88 with no mods.
