H4 vs. Sealed Beam (OEM) - Pic
When I replaced my OEM sealed-beam headlights (35w/55w, I think) with H4's and halogen 80w/100w bulbs, the difference was amazing. Much better light, across the board.
I just came across some pictures I took the night I replaced them. Great "before and after" comparisons, as they are shot hours apart with the identical camera and settings. This is the LOW BEAM comparison picture.

I was also very impressed with the lighting improvement I got from going to the USA H4's from the stock sealed beams. Switching is possibly the best low buck upgrade you can do to your car.

The H4 upgrade is on my list of upgrades when I get my Porsche resonably restored. The regular sealed beams ARE pretty weak. I've only driven it at night a couple times, with NEW lights, and it is still pretty dang weak.
