Oil Sending Unit Help

I need some help distinguishing between the Oil Temp Sending Unit, the Oil Pressure Sending Unit, and the Oil Pressure switch on a 2.7.

I have one near the Oil Thermostat which I would think is the Oil Temp, but then there are two on the front of the engine right hand side. A small sending unit type screwed in to the case on the front, and a larger sending unit above it where the tensioner lines connect.

I am rewiring the entire engine as the old harness had been hacked. I have the pinout for the 14 pin, but need to know which of these is which. Thanks in advance.

"I have one near the Oil Thermostat" (this is the oil temp switch).

"but then there are two on the front of the engine right hand side. A small sending unit type screwed in to the case on the front" (this is the oil temperature sending unit),

"and a larger sending unit above it where the tensioner lines connect" (this is the oil pressure sending unit).

Cheers, Jim.

I just replaced the oil pressure sender for the guage that is in the dash.

It is on the right of the fan, looking from the back, the big VDO thing.

Thanks a bunch Jim. Now back to re-wiring.
