reason to own mid years
I know mag cases are not.....but w.o. to much hooplaah I am dwn to 2020 lbs!!!! with a full tank and a big fire ext on board. Full interior too.
Thats my reason and I am sticking to it........I have not weighed it for a bout 2 months and lil things thrown out mean a lot. My goal is 2000 lbs and I am creepin that way Ok! I am estatic over this and just had to tell some one seince the 4 wd club dwn the street would not understand    Am I happy ..........mmmmmmmyou bet!!

george,
that's great! how about a quick rundown on what you've removed? what motor/tranny combo do you have? it's a pretty safe bet you've scrubbed away a/c..  ryan

mostly replaced front and rear crash bumpers for f.g. ones, 12 lb batt, no rear blower,lexan r window, no window wash tank,no jack/spare,never had pwr windows,pwr antena and the like, or a/c....still have complete interior.
next in line will be some better seats,more lexan.

pretty much looks standard, tornado red (newer volkswagon) 9" flares, Etoile wheels..has the oil cooler grill in front.......next step cut hole in fwd bulk head and run forced air to cabin and eliminate the front fan and squirel cage....the motor died again,tired of the racket anyway

afterburn, sounds like a fun car. I'll have to weigh my car one day. Mine never had a/c and after reading your post, I'm getting kind of curious.
Pics would be nice, tho. :-)
