Good Shop in Florida . HELP !!!!!

Good Shop in Florida . HELP !!!!!

Hi Guy's
I am in Trubble I bought a 78 Targa with a 3.2 in the for sale section some weeks ago and shipped the car to me to Aruba only to put around 50 miles on it to find out the engine is in troubble ( Oil in the Air Filter Box from the breader hose and on three cyliders the Spark plugs are oily to ) if it is a big Job
I think I have to send the engine back to the US and let some Pro do the work .
The best way for me is to ship the engine on a pallet to a good shop and Florida will be the nearest option for me , anybody can recomend a shop or have any clue what is the problem with my engine ?? PLEAS HELP

Don't take the engine out of the car yet. There are lots of very well educated guys here that can probably help you isolate, and probably fix the problem.

Does the car run OK aside form the problems you describe?

Oil from the breather tube could simply mean it is over full. Clean the air box out. Be sure the level is correct when the engine is hot. If it is over full simply drain it out and start again.

How are the spark plusgs oily? On the outside or on the electodes themselves?

Answer these questions and you will undoubtedly get some expert advice on what to do. If none of the ideas you get here help, we have plenty of good shops in Florida that can work on the engine.

Good Luck,

Don

The problem was that we find out( after smelling lots of oil ) that the breader hose was off the tank and not connected at all ( in my opinion because of the back pressure )we connect everything proper and put new oil and filter and the engine is smoking and oil rins in the Air Box , the electrodes from the 1,3 and cylider 4 are oily/wet the other ones are dry and black.

Well it looks like you have enough 911's to know how to check/fill oil.

Turbo Werks Jose Estevez 1000 NW 51 Court Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33309 Tel:001-954-771-1177 Fax: 001-771-9975 E-Mail: turbowks@bellsouth.net

Do a search for Juan Ruiz and his awesome car and you'll see some of their work.

Gulf performance in Pompano. Ask for Vince or Felix.

http://gulfperformance.com/

They have been doing work on my car for the past 5 years and I can highly recommend them.
