Oil breather tube
The hose outlet, next to the oil filler cap. Can I assume that is a
oil breather outlet. IF so how critical is the connection? Mine came loose and cannot get it back on . Its a booger to get at the screw down clamp's flat head adjustment. Thank you for any input. Anyone reading this that responded to my other threads, thanks for the help we made it to Niagara Falls! for our one year anniversary, pictures are coming soon!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wondering if I will make it back home ok. Seems fine without hose fully on. Just airing on the safe side posting the question. I am still wet behind the ears.

You should be fine if its the breather hose up near the cap. It is not a pressure line, but you want it on for vacuum/air leak purposes.

I was reading other threads that discuss the hose that goes to the air box, but this one leads to the back of the motor. So your saying it could be a vacuum leak cause?

Take a close look at how they have the screw down clamp in there. You have to hold the hose in place, while you try to get at the flathead screw on the clamp, not as easy as it looks. It would be a lot easier if I did not have to hold the hose at the same time, but there is not enough slack with the angle and the hose from the a/c unit that runs back in that same area. I tried routing the hose over and under the a/c line to no avail. Even had a very nice guy on a Harley try to help me.
