Acid Etch Primer Vs Por 15

I need to do some repaire work to a rear wheel arch that as had the underseal burnt off due to a fire, when I repaired the engine bay from the same fire I used por 15 as the base coat then stone guard ontop of that! Recently ive been looking at acid etch primer and wanted to know if anyone (Especially if there are any paint guys in on the forum) knows what would be the best rust preventative between the two!

I've used he Dupont Variprime / Zinc Chromate product over the years and have never had a problem. No experience with POR but it's likely up to the task as well.
