need my turbo header modified-who does the good work
 

l bought some B&B 930 headers for 3.2 conversion and they`re not working out.l think the turbo has to sit higher to allow the oil to drain into the cam cover properly. l believe cutting the mounting plate off and extending the collector up 1 1/2" should do it.l`m using a split volute Garrett and l`ve got a new mounting plate for it. anyhow l may try a local guy but my luck has been spotty with non Porsche people doing work like this.any help appreciated..

As a quick solution, you can buy a TiAL T3-T4 Flange Adapter, which would be approx 1" thick. That will mount the turbo just high enough to gravity drain into the chain cover.

If your fabricator can use your flange, have the turbo (and stub tube onto the header) in place in the engine bay "Just the way" it needs to be and have him TACK weld it. Check one more time , don't forget positioning of the compressor outlet, oil in/ oil drain and muffler outlet positioning-- then he can remove the tack- welded- structure and properly mig or tig weld it on the bench. Before running, make sure all the welding slag is evacuated from inside the tubes.

Rick, perhaps there's a version of this adapter/spacer to solve your problem. I believe Greddy makes high quality adapters and spacers as well.
