Help w/ bleeding brakes near NYC ?
Hi.
I have no plans this wekend... So I was wondering if any Pelicanites had free time to show my how to bleed my brakes? I am a mechanical novice and this is my first Porsche, but I'm enthusiastic about learning! I overheated the brakes over the summer and the fluid looks very dark as well. Let me know if anybody is interested in helping with this, I have a basic set of tools, and 1 cheap floor jack. I will supply brake fluid for the car and snacks/beverages for us. I'm happy to travel a bit or if someone wants to come hang out in the basement of my building here to work is also possible. I have plenty of time this Sunday & Monday.... Thanks a lot. dan 1979 911sc |

Do you know if the brakes are ABS or not? If they are you might want to have it done by a shop because I think you have to cycle the ABS valves in order to get all of the bubbles out of them.
